If security is important and money is not the big deal. Then I would replace after a couple of thousands km. Is is not only about the wear you can see. It is also that the tyre has been warmed up and cooled down many times. The rubber gets stiff. I did 19.XXX km on a Storm 2 Ultra in Africa, but I guess you do more acceleration than I. Acceleration is the main thing that wear you tyre down. The tyres from Avon are great tyres, and I am not only saying that because they help me out during my journey.
Due to Avon not are able to help me with tyres in South America, I have an old rear tyre down in the basement more bolded than your with some 18.000 km on it. It even helped up a stranded biker from south of Chile when all he had left was an old rear tyre looking like slicks.

But remember, safety first, especially when money is not the main problem. Not nice getting out on a rainy day with a tyre of bad condition...

Good luck with you new rear tyre :-)
