Raybestos 96965 brake rotors on a 2001 Porsche Boxster S - Cheap and they work.

$22.60 USD each.

Well the price is right, and they seem to work fine.

The hub portion of the rotor is painted black.  The rotors on my car were starting to get down, and I wanted to replace them before they cracked from track abuse.  Cross drilled rotors can start to show signs of cracking from high heat/cold cycles....

Size is correct,  and parking brake works.

However,  the mounting holes for the screws that hold the rotor onto the hub during assembly are in the wrong spot.

On the Raybestos one, the one screw is off center  and closer to one lug hole than the other.  On the correct  one, the screw hole is about centered for both spots where screws can be used to hold the rotor to the hub.

Does it matter?   Probably not,  I have mounted the rotors and used them yesterday on the track, and it didn't affect performance.   I have put brakes on without using that screw.  In fact, on winter driven vehicles on salted roads,  the screw can be a pain to remove and a lot of technicians will leave it off.
